Hickory Springs Welsh Ponies, established in 2001 by Debra Robison, is located thirty minutes south of Rochester, New York in the historic town of Honeoye Falls situated in the Hamlet of Mendon, New York. The farm is currently maintained by the Robison family and staff.

The first pony to arrive at the stud was Rosmel's Strawberry Fizz, a beautiful Section B roan filly. Soon to follow was a flashy Section A bay colt, Gaslight's Brecon and a quality Section A chestnut filly, Dandardel's Baby Doll.

Over the past few years, outside stallions such as Morton's Best Man and Telynau Royal Charter have been incorporated into our breeding program, enhancing our herd.

Six foals have been born at Hickory Springs, three colts and three fillies. A fine colt (Hickory Springs Royal Courier) sired by Telynau Royal Charter was born in 2004 and was just sold to a show home. We are proud to announce that our first foal sired by our very own Gaslight's Brecon was born in May 2005. Hickory Springs Donnachaidh ("Duncan"), now almost three years old, is a beautiful red roan like his dam. Brecon had his second foal on the ground in spring 2007, a lovely bay filly, Hickory Springs Bailee Rae.

In December 2005, we improved our breeding program by importing Telynau Diana, a lovely chesnut filly, and Telynau Grand Slam, a stunning black colt with beautiful markings from the Telynau Stud in England. Grand Slam and Diana will be retained for our breeding program. We have also recently purchased Tide Creek Amigoand Tide Creek Amazing Grace, two striking buckskins, for our breeding program. We are thrilled to have obtained such outstanding Welsh Ponies at Hickory Springs.

We want to thank David and Carol Maurer (Gaslight), Mary and J.D. Orear (Dandardel), Rosie Gillett and family (Rosmel), Tammy Burgin (Farmore), David and Geraint Jones (Telynau), Judy Sprague (White Horse Hill), Tony and Becky Hering (Tide Creek Welsh) and Morton Stables for allowing us the honor to purchase the most wonderful Welsh Ponies for our stud.
