Joey
Rest In Peace
We are sad to announce the loss of Joey. He was not only an exceptionally bred sport pony with unimaginable potential, but he was a joy to work with and have in the barn. He was sweet, gentle, and exemplified everything we strive for in our breeding program at Hickory Springs. We purchased Joey with the intent to add him to our breeding program, but unfortunately unbeknown to us, we purchased him as a sick weanling, and he came to us ill with ulcers. We know that Joey would have made a special child very happy someday.
We would like to thank Ledgewood Equine Veterinary Clinic for all of their exceptional care. Joey's loss is a tragedy and we are thankful for such good care during this difficult time. Joey was a fighter, and we hope that we can learn something from this little pony. Rest in peace Joey, we love you and know you are no longer in pain.
